Introduction to AI Imaging

Like Photoshop and Lightroom, AI can be used to enhance our creativity, rather than threaten it. In this 3-week workshop, we will explore several free AI generators which are available through Adobe Firefly (free with any Adobe subscription to Photoshop and Lightroom). There is a kaleidescope of possibilities. For example, I used AI to convert photos to drawings. and to create several other elements for the book below.

Shooting with Inspiration

8 sessions: Thursdays, 2:30 pm – 5:00 pm

Where do you start and how do you create a great picture? How do you escape shooting so many of the same types of images? This workshop will focus on finding new inspiration and thinking outside the bounds of your previous work.

We will be looking at the work of different photographers and analyzing the visual vocabulary, composition and intention of that photographer’s work. During the week that follows you will use elements of that photographer’s style to guide your shooting. You can try to make similar pictures, or your interpretation can be more conceptual. We will critique the images in the following class.

Each student will develop a personal project based on one of the styles or an amalgamation of several styles. There will be weekly class critiques of student’s images.
